Postgraduate Programme Environmental Physics (PEP)
The focus of our Master Programme is to educate students by providing knowledge of the complex relationships between atmosphere, hydrosphere (ocean), cryosphere (ice region) and solid earth (land). Gaining experience in the application of experimental methods relevant for environmental physics at an advanced level, numerical data analysis using supercomputers and data interpretation via sophisticated models are study objectives.
This Master Programme will provide you with the physical, mathematical and chemical principles, which are used in the modern research undertaken by the participating research institutes IUP (Institute of Environmental Physics at the University of Bremen) and AWI (Alfred Wegener Institute, Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research in Bremerhaven). It is intended to develop skills and problem-solving capability for subsequent use in experimental design and project development of relevance for subsequent research and employment.
